Enhanced Orbital Magnetism in Fe50Pt50 Nanoparticles

摘要: X-ray absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectra at both the Fe Pt L{sub 3,2} edges were measured on wet-chemically synthesized monodisperse Fe{sub 50}Pt{sub 50} particles with a mean diameter of 6.3 nm before after complete removal organic ligands oxide shell covering by soft hydrogen plasma resulting in pure metallic state. After thermal treatment particles, coercive field increased factor 6, orbital moment site 330% is reduced 30%, while effective spin moments did not change. A decrease frequency oscillations extended x-ray fine structure provides evidence for crystallographic changes towards L1{sub 0} phase.
