摘要: Abstract Silica nanosheets (SiO2 NS) are considered to be a promising material in clinical practice for diagnosis and therapy applications. However, an appropriate surface functionalization is essential guarantee high biocompatibility molecule loading ability. Although SiO2 NS chemically stable, its effects on immune systems still being explored. In this work, we successfully synthesized novel 2D multilayer coated with carbon (C/SiO2 NS), evaluated their impact human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) some cell subpopulations. We demonstrated that the response strongly dependent functionalities of NS. Ex vivo experiments showed increase C/SiO2 compared NS, resulting lowering hemoglobin release together reduction cellular toxicity activation. none them directly involved activation acute inflammation process consequent pro-inflammatory cytokines. The obtained results provide important direction towards biomedical applications silica nanosheets, rendering attractive development future immunological therapies.
