摘要: The proteins secreted by the rat submandibular gland in response to various secretory stimuli have been investigated. β-adrenergic agonist isoprenaline primarily caused secretion of glycoproteins, although a number other species were also present, and saliva contained moderate level proteolytic activity. ɑ-adrenergic agent phenylephrine acted very differently, causing considerable amount activity, with only small glycoprotein present secretion. Stimulation cervical sympathetic trunk fluid at all frequencies from 1-20 Hz, this was mediated via both ɑ β-adrenoceptors. However, 20 Hz essentially similar those obtained after phenylephrine, indicating that β-adrenoceptors not involved protein At lower frequency 5 appeared be Acetyl β-methyl choline physalaemin mainly secretion, acetyl some Surprisingly case for parasympathetic nerve stimulation. effect reserpine upon carbohydrate histochemistry This found cause an accumulation carboxylated glycoproteins within acini, which normally contain neutral population. result contrasts findings previous investigations, where simple no qualitative changes.
