The aim the present article to describe value distributions and analyze influence sex race on values in large Brazilian sample, setting high rate admixture. Methods Longitudinal Study Adult Health (ELSA-Brasil) multicenter cohort 15,105 adult (aged 35–74 years) civil servants six cities. Baseline assessment included measurements both common carotid arteries. Race was self-reported. We studied association between using multiple linear regression models. conducted analyses all low-risk individuals, defined as those without classical cardiovascular risk factors. Results analyzed complete data from 10,405 ELSA-Brasil participants. nomograms by age for stratified race. found that men had significantly higher maximal compared women ( β = 0.058; P = 0.027; = 0.001). In addition, Brown White individuals lower Black = −0.034 = −0.054, respectively; = −0.027; = 0.013 = −0.035; Conclusion men. than individuals. These results persisted when were restricted
