摘要: The fibrous proteins obtained from the egg capsules of several prosobranch molluscs have been studied by X-ray diffraction techniques and electron microscopy. molecular fibrils an α-helical conformation, these pack into larger, well defined, ribbon-like units. Ribbons two superfamilies Muricacea Buccinacea different longitudinal banding patterns repeat distances although lateral periodicities are identical. It would seem likely that variation in pattern is a result types overlapping similar fibrils.
