Combined use of bone grafts and implants in the severely resorbed maxilla

摘要: Combined horseshoe-shaped iliac bone grafts and Branemark fixtures were used to rehabilitate patients with severely resorbed maxillae. Twenty followed-up by computed tomography (CT) examination axial slices assess the fixture sites study changes in height width of graft 3 weeks 3, 6, 12, 24 months postoperatively. The mean at 3-week postoperative was 8.2 mm; after 2 years value had decreased 6.2 mm. reduction occurred mainly between 3-month 1-year examinations. 12.2 mm, it 8.6 mm years. Most took place during 1-3. From 1 year grafting procedure, rate both very low.
