摘要: Epiphora (continuous watering of the eyes) is frequently caused by obstruction lacrimal draining system. Radiographic imaging tear ducts after contrast injection with DSA (digital subtraction angiography) dacryocystography technique still gold standard in patients severe epiphora which does not respond to conservative therapy. Recent techniques, such as 3D rotational dacryocystography, MRI and CT are able show anatomic surroundings addition ductal structures especially useful for planning endoscopic operations. Dacryocystographically assisted interventions, balloon dilatation or stenting duct stenoses technically feasible. Balloon dacryocystoplasty successful incomplete short distance obstructions nasolacrimal duct. Stenting may improve procedural success patency rates. Minimally invasive interventional therapy an initial treatment selected cases, however, long-term rates be limited operative dacryocystorhinostomy plays important role. Comparative studies evaluation different therapeutic options necessary.
