摘要: Characterization of the cardiac capillary network structure is critical importance to understand normal coronary functional properties and microvascular diseases. The aim our study was establish an accessible methodology for 3D imaging processing quantitatively characterize architecture in mice. Experiments were done on C57BL/6J performed by light sheet microscopy confocal iDISCO+ optical cleared hearts after labelling endothelium lectin injection. images processed with open source software ImageJ. Non-visual image segmentation based frequency distribution voxel greyscale values, followed skeletonization distance mapping. Capillary networks left right ventricles septum characterized volume density, fractal dimension, number segments nodes their ratio, total length, average diameter, tortuosity segments. Scale-dependent parameter values can be impacted resolution limit technique. proposed standardized easily a biologist terms investment difficulty level, allows quantification its statistical comparison different conditions.
