摘要: In the usual formulations of geometrical optics, physics medium enters equations through a conductivity tensor operator σ. An essential assumption in subsequent expansion is that magnitude σH, Hermitian part σ, much smaller than σA, anti‐Hermitian part. finite temperature plasma with ωpe∼‖Ωe‖, this condition always violated sufficiently close to cyclotron resonance, even though many cases waves are weakly damped and k slowly varying. Simultaneously expanding Vlasov equation Maxwell taking explicit account relative electric field components ordering scheme yields formalism terms real rays, eikonal functions, varying amplitude valid at resonance. It assumed ωpe∼‖Ωe‖∼ω large, ω≃‖Ωe‖, vek/ω small. shown when ray trajectories are, leading order, exactly those ...
