摘要: Development and fecundity of Scymnus levaillanti(Mulsant) were recorded at fiveconstant temperatures ranging from 15 to 35 ± 1 °C in 5 increments, 60 5% RHand 16 h artificial light (5000 Lux). Developmentaltime (egg adult) S. levaillantisignificantly decreased with increasing temperatures, ranging 63.9 days 11.1 at35 °C. egg adult required305.2 DD above a developmental threshold estimated as11.7 Oviposition periods lasted 86.5, 76.1,47.2, 31.5 20, 25, 30 °C,respectively. No eggs deposited °C.Higher resulted shorter generationtimes (TO) net reproductiverates (RO) the coccinellid. S.levaillanti kept produced 0.151females/female/day, highest per capita rate ofpopulation growth (rm). The `functional response'of larvae adults levaillanti matcheswell that described by Holling (1959) as Type 2.Daily number females increased toa plateau prey density. Resultsobtained here provide information about biology ofS. levaillanti, its feeding capacityindicates it may act an important control agent.
