摘要: Activated carbons, obtained from pyrolysis and CO2 activation of both a bituminous coal its reduced ash content derivative produced by HCl HF treatment, were used to show that SO2 sorbent characteristics are improved increasing their degree burnoff related surface sites with acidic basic features, area, pore size distribution. Active carbons also better sorption properties at lower values retention initial activity after ten adsorption–desorption cycles. Their behaviour is the presence pores larger dimensions redistribution metals in original mineral matter on carbonaceous matrices induced acid washing.
