摘要: A detailed investigation was conducted to evaluate the microstructural characteristics in samples of pure nickel processed using three different procedures severe plastic deformation (SPD): equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP), high-pressure torsion (HPT) and a combination ECAP HPT. Several experimental techniques were employed measure grain size distributions, textures, distributions misorientation angles boundary surface energies as-processed materials. It is shown that HPT leads both greater refinement microstructure smaller fraction boundaries having low misorientation. The estimated higher than anticipated from data for coarse-grained materials difference attributed non-equilibrium character many interfaces after SPD processing.
