摘要: Abstract Emission reduction has become an important subject of discussion in recent years, mostly due to CO2 emission limits set by the European Union protect environment. One most affected areas is automotive industry for its usage internal combustion engines. Even though it still not possible eliminate use fossil fuels completely, can be decreased increasing efficiency ways do so using cylinder deactivation technology. This paper summarises history and describes various approaches implementation this technology, including potential constraints. The synergy with other technologies presented future possibilities are predicted.
