摘要: The distribution and bioavailability of heavy metals in the environment is particular concern because their potential toxicity to ecosystem. A study was conducted investigate impact informal industries (commonly known Kenya as Jua kali industries) on metal indices selected tropical urban soil samples from Nakuru town, Kenya. revealed that both total contents varied with site depended upon intensity industrial activities (painting, oil spills engine overhauls, deposited wastes) sites. sites had higher levels content than non-industrial sites, indicating these areas contributed elevated amounts metals. mean highest for Zn followed by Fe, Pb, Mn Cu.
