摘要: As spatio-temporal movement data is becoming more widely available for analysis in GIS and related areas, new methods to analyze them have been developed. A step-selection function (SSF) a recently developed method used quantify the effect of environmental factors on animal movement. This gaining traction as an important conservation tool; however there no studies that investigated uncertainty associated with subjective model decisions. In this research we two types animals – oilbirds hyenas examine how systematically altering user decisions parameters influences main outcome SSF, coefficients movement-environment relationship. We found strongly influence results functions any subsequent inferences about interactions. Differences were between categories every variable presented here can help clarify sources SSF
