摘要: In vivo, platelets associate with neutrophils at sites of hemorrhage or inflammation. vitro, stimulated bind to in a Ca2(+)-dependent manner. GMP-140, an integral membrane glycoprotein found secretory granules and endothelium, is rapidly translocated the cell surface after cellular activation. It shares sequence similarity two leukocyte adhesion molecules, ELAM-1 lymphocyte homing receptor. We have recently shown that purified GMP-140 fashion, participates activated endothelium. this study we demonstrate also mediates platelets. Fixed thrombin-activated human platelets, but not unstimulated formed rosettes around presence Ca2+. The binding was inhibited by monoclonal antibody GMP-140. By promoting close cell-cell contact, may recruit both tissue injury as well modulate function each type other.
