5-bp insertion/deletion polymorphism in the promoter region of LncRNA GAS5 and cancer risk: A meta-analysis of 7005 cases and 8576 controls

摘要: Abstract Several studies investigated the impact of 5-bp insertion/deletion (ins/del) polymorphism in promoter region GAS5 LncRNA on cancer risk and results were inconsistent. So, we performed a meta-analysis to examine association between ins/del risk. The PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, Google scholar databases searched 8 relevant including 7005 cases 8576 controls participants identified. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated findings did not support an One main reason for negative result may be heterogeneity derived from different type. Larger well-designed are required validate findings.
