摘要: The relative levels of recovery by populations Carabidae, Staphylinidae and Linyphiidae were measured, following exposure to dimethoate, in two winter wheat field experiments. Regression analysis the duration (the time taken for treatment plot population densities approach those control plots) with respect distance from boundary, revealed differences reinvasion potential three families. recovered most rapidly Carabidae slowly taking an intermediate position. source differed between families carabid being confined within contrast other which recolonized treated areas boundary beyond. rate at staphylinid linyphiid dispersed into plots raised questions concerning appropriate scale obtain estimates side-effects. More serious interpretative problems arose carabids since a large proportion their apparent may have been experimental artefact. provide simple means predicting side-effects on different taxa experiments, as long these constraints are recognized. This incorporates important feature life history predictions pesticide hazard thus be more realistic than based toxicity alone.
