摘要: The objective of this investigation was to study the effect axially staged injection methane in vitiated air cross flow a two stage combustion chamber on formation NOX for different momentum flux ratios. primary cylindrical combustor equipped with low swirl blast nozzle operating Jet-A liquid fuel generates temperature range 1473–1673 K at pressures 5–8 bar. A injector flush mounted inner surface secondary an angle 30°. Oil cooled movable and static gas probes were used collect samples. mole fractions NO, NO2 , CO, CO2 O2 collected exhaust samples measured using analyzers. For all investigated conditions, change fraction due (ΔNOX ) corrected 15% dry mode less than 15 ppm. ΔNOX increased increase mass rate it not affected by ratio. penetration depth jet estimated from profiles obtained probe. ratios, observed mm 5 bar 6.5 8 results simulations RANS turbulence model also presented. Reaction modeling flame present posed significant challenge as embedded high turbulent burns partial premixed mode. applicability reaction models has been investigated. first approach employed combination eddy dissipation finite chemistry determine rate, while presumed JPDF further investigations. Predictions closer agreement measurements employing model; able predict some key features pressure.Copyright © 2011 ASME
