摘要: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are complete and complex information that consist of firms’ business best practices. This study examines an ERP custom-made add-on/bolt-on system a medium-sized computer memory producer with global units around the world, investigates implications customized from perspectives fit, user attitude acceptance, subsequent maintenance upgrade costs. The authors adopted rich descriptive case method conduct cost benefit analysis prediction costs on system. empirical data indicates although developing add-on may create integration problems and/or compatibility system, in overall, users accept better as helps improving their job performance. Also, even though having custom development does additional this study, not necessarily more than it. Instead, idiosyncratic actually transfer lot benefits to company. is first showing why favored by SMEs. These results can be valuable IT managers top management when making customization decisions.
