摘要: Abstract With some plain carbon and alloy steels, structures consisting of a matrix lath martensite strengthened by fine dispersed particles were obtained unconventional methods heat-treatment. It was proved that this type structure is very effective in increasing both strength ductility. The two-fold role dispersion present low-carbon explained according to Cheng Thomas: during the transformation carbides are contributing multiplication dislocations martensitic phase, final they act mechanism hardening. Since practical applicability (including ausforming) known be limited, new approach achieving proper microstructural features thereby better combination ductility with UHS steel proposed. consists designing low- or medium-alloyed hyper-eutectoid steels which carbidic phase attainable means conventional treatment. results laboratory tests contact fatigue resistant design based on principles Hyper-Eutectoid Lath Martensitic (HELM) steels. Besides, application same low-alloyed medium-carbon structural explored as possibility.
