摘要: Chemerin is a widely distributed multifunctional secreted protein implicated in immune cell migration, adipogenesis, osteoblastogenesis, angiogenesis, myogenesis, and glucose homeostasis. message regulated by nuclear receptor agonists, metabolic signaling proteins intermediates, proinflammatory cytokines. Following translation chemerin as an inactive pro-protein, its secretion can be depending on type. bioactivity largely dependent carboxyl-terminal proteolytic processing removal of inhibitory residues. abundant human epidermis where it well-placed to provide barrier protection. In host defense, plays dual roles broad spectrum antimicrobial leukocyte attractant for macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells. Here we review the mechanisms underlying regulation function defense.
