摘要: Based on chemical and mechanical compositions quartz content of red and/or yellow colored soil materials in the southwestern part Japan, lithology index (LI) weathering (WI) were derived using a multivariate statistical method (factor analysis). The variables used for factor analysis are Fe2O3/Al2O3, TiO2/Al2O3, Fe2O3+Al2O3+Quartz, Si(non-quartz)/(Fe2O3 + Al2O3), CaO MgO K2O3, MgO/K2O3 Quartz/Sand, all which represent certain different aspects Iithological characteristics. Since LI WI mutually independent, it is possible to evaluate effect degree characteristics independently from that lithology.
