摘要: A system for providing fault-tolerant synchronized operation of the Time Day (TOD) clocks respective data processors in a multiprocessor complex. Basically, is comprised duplex implementation having redundant TOD clock sources, and plurality slaves which provide associated processors. register/counter each source incremented by high frequency signal to achieve required value resolution, latter divided down lower reference synchronization sources. Each slave includes means receiving pair signals trouble-free switching between signals, as required. Alternately, quad sources substantially free single points failure mechanism described. Frequency steering provides increased accuracy conformity real time when desired.
