摘要: A process for high catalytic hydroconversion of heavy liquid hydrocarbon feedstocks, such as petroleum resid containing at least about 40 vol% material boiling above 975°F + , using two-staged reactors operated elevated temperature and pressure conditions so to produce increased yields lower liquids gas products. In the process, feedstock is reacted with hydrogen in a first stage ebullated bed reactor 820-875°F temperature, 1500-3500 partial pressure, 0.30-1.0 V f /Hr/V r space velocity. The effluent portion fed into second maintained 700-800°F, 0.10-0.80 /hr/V particulate catalyst used each contains 2-25 wt.% active metals, has 0.30-1.50 cm 2 /gm total pore volume 100-400 m surface area. From effluent, vacuum bottoms fraction normally 850°F preferably 900°F removed recycled back reactor, provide recycle ratio fresh 0.2-1.5/1 achieve If desired, withdrawn from can be treated passed further use therein before being discarded, matched reaction activity reactor.
