摘要: Abstract In this investigation strontium aluminate phosphors ( SrAl 2 O 4 :Eu,Dy ) were synthesized through two modified routes, sol-gel method (route of Pechini) and molten salts (activated by mechanosynthesis) . The slight modifications allow to use lower temperatures shorter times thermal treatments than those typically used. Moreover, the synthesis is performed under a simple air atmosphere. intermediates identified during sol gel are: polyesters, probably coordinated metallic ions, cubic Pb[NO 3 ] -type structure Sr(NO , orthorhombic aragonite-type SrCO highly crystalline NaNO (obtained manual milling reactants), monoclinic bayerite-type Al(OH) results characterization these provided worthy information propose experimental conditions reaction. XRD products, obtained both methods, shows stuffed tridymite-type as predominant polycrystalline phase with calculated mean particle size ~26 nm. Transmission electron micrographs reveal particles different morphology broad distribution sizes. HRTEM images discard presence amorphous phases SAED patterns corroborate previously XRD. persistent afterglow emission centered close white light dominant wavelength 550 nm purity color 0.45. lifetime similar, at around 7 min, value that sufficient for bio-imaging or security codes applications.
