Robustness and Security of Digital Watermarks

摘要: Digital watermarking is a nascent but promising technology that offers protection of unencrypted digital content. This paper brief technical survey the multimedia landscape. The three main challenges faced by algorithms are fidelity, robustness and security. Current methods offer possibly acceptable fidelity against certain types processing, such as data compression noise addition, not sufficiently robust geometric transforms scaling cropping images. Theoretical approaches have been developed could lead to secure methods, substantial gaps remain between theory practice.
