摘要: The activity space concept is used to capture the structures of observed locational choices individual travellers. It represents distribution places visited over a period time and measures which contains those places. Among other, preferred continuous representation was 95% confidence ellipse – methodology originally applied home range studies in habitat research. As this approach faces difficulties terms realistic description human usage it believed that spaces could be eventually better represented by other geometries. This paper deals with further development especially focussing on minimisation its area. Several geometries have been explored including ellipses, superellipses, bean curves Cassini ovals.
