摘要: Charcot neuroarthropathy is one of the most devastating complications diabetes causing much discomfort and disability sometimes leading to amputation. The current therapies are disappointing fail address underlying disease process. In order try halt bone resorption we have studied action bisphosphonate, pamidronate, in six diabetic patients with active neuroarthropathy. treatment was associated improvement patients' symptoms a reduction activity as measured by temperature affected foot which fell from 3.4 +/- 0.7 (SE) degrees C 1.0 0.5 above intact (p = 0.05).
