Effects of equal-channel angular pressing and accumulative roll-bonding on hydrogen storage properties of a commercial ZK60 magnesium alloy

摘要: The hydrogen storage properties of a commercial ZK60 magnesium alloy were investigated after processing by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) and accumulative roll-bonding (ARB). Samples prepared 6 passes ECAP subsequently rolled 25 times. Microstructural characterization was performed using scanning transmission electron microscopy. kinetics absorption desorption measured in Sievert-type apparatus. Processing only resulted very low capacity 0.5 wt. %. Additional ARB refined the microstructure improved absorption. Despite this improvement, limited to less than 4 This limitation overcome crushing materials into small thin plates. crushed sample from material absorbed 4.77 % 24 h while processed 6.4 results are discussed terms morphology samples.
