摘要: The dissociation behavior of gas-phase protonated and methylated four-, five-, six-, seven-membered ring lactones, some with methyl substituents in various positions, has been characterized by using a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer triple spectrometer. energy dependence collisionally activated pathways was determined energy-resolved spectrometry, the lactones compared to that observed for cyclic ketones ethers analogous size. predominantly dissociated via dehydration, whereas losses an alkene, ketene, water. formed from ion/molecule reactions dimethyl ether ions isomeric methyl-substituted lactones. methylation experiments indicated addition group may dramatically alter favored when simple ions.
