摘要: In freehand elastography, quasi-static tissue compression is applied through the ultrasound probe, and corresponding axial strain estimated by calculating time shift between consecutive echo signals. This calculation typically suffers from a poor signal-to-noise ratio or decorrelation echoes resulting an erroneous motion impressed operator. paper shows that quality of elastograms can be improved integration two distinct techniques in estimation procedure. The first technique evaluates displacement analyzing phases signal spectra acquired during compression. second increases robustness averaging multiple estimations high-frame-rate imaging system, while maintaining typical elastogram frame-rate. experimental results, obtained with Ultrasound Advanced Open Platform (ULA-OP) cyst phantom, demonstrate each proposed methods independently improve elastograms, further improvements are possible their combination.
