摘要: Abstract Basogel®, the BASF aerogel based on silica, has been developed almost to market readiness over past few years. Major process engineering and economic questions regarding individual stages of production were investigated clarified as a prerequisite for construction plant. By setting up pilot plant with an annual capacity 200–300 m 3 , it possible supply potential major customers in key segments limited quantities preparation launch. The aerogels produced this are obtained form X-ray amorphous SiO 2 beads 2–6 mm diameter, their most important properties continuously monitored. Mixtures 25–40 wt% finely milled powders bead material permit thermal conductivities low 0.016 W −1 K . These values remain unchanged long period under ambient conditions. opacifying dopants, such carbon black or inorganic oxides, insulation effect improved servicable temperature range use insulating extended include higher lower temperatures.
