Culture and Attitudes Towards Euthanasia: An Integrative Review.

摘要: We examine and integrate last two decades of research on euthanasia from a cultural perspective. After an exhaustive search Scopus Web Science, 40 studies matching our criteria are included in the review. qualitatively summarize literature country-wise use text map co-occurring terms titles, keywords, abstracts these articles to determine similarities differences among sub-themes continental clusters. Research done Asian, European, North American, multi-cultural suggests that attributes unique each culture instrumental shaping public attitudes towards euthanasia. also find some cultures, despite prevalence euthanasia, underrepresented empirical research. This review nuances end-of-life decisions such as is pertinent social scientists, healthcare professionals workers any given time, but more so during critical events worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
