Knowledge and Perception of Sexual Behaviors and Sexuality Education among Adolescents in Imphal City, Manipur- A Cross-Sectional Study

摘要: Background: The World Health Organization defines adolescents as those belonging to the age group of 10-19 years old. Nevertheless, adolescence should be considered a phase rather than fixed group, with physical, social, psychological and cultural dimensions. This is indeed transition period between childhood adulthood where special attention required. Methods: A cross sectional was conducted 420 students class X-XII from four schools Imphal undergraduate 1 st year MBBS, BDS Nursing RIMS, Imphal, Manipur during 3 rd - 24 th April 2014. Data collected through self administered questionnaire analyzed by SPSS version-16. Descriptive statistics like mean, percentages were used.
