摘要: Transcriptome analysis of sugarcane hybrid CP72-1210 (cold susceptible) and Saccharum spontaneum TUS05-05 tolerant) using Sugarcane Assembled Sequences (SAS) from SUCEST-FUN Database showed that a total 35,340 34,698 SAS genes, respectively, were expressed before after chilling stress. The revealed more than 600 genes are differentially in each genotype Blast2Go annotation the major difference gene expression profiles between stress present related to transmembrane transporter activity. To further investigate relevance activity against abiotic tolerance, S. homolog NOD26-like intrinsic protein (SspNIP2) was selected for functional analysis, which induced cold tolerant TUS05-05. Quantitative real-time PCR SspNIP2 increased ~2.5 fold at 30 minutes treatment stayed throughout 24 hours treatment. amino acid sequence cloned confirmed presence six domains two NPA (Asn-Pro-Ala) motifs, signature features families. Amino four acids, comprising ar/R (aromatic residue/arginine) region responsible substrate specificity among MIPs, conserved monocot silicon transporters SspNIP2. Salinity test on transgenic tobacco plants resulted vigorous lines non-transgenic plants, suggesting some degree tolerance salt conferred by SspNIP2-transgenic exposed 2 weeks water without irrigation, developed various degrees symptom. had lower evapotranspiration rates lines, slight early compared wild type plants.
