摘要: A large gland patch is found in the submucosa of lesser curvature koala stomach near entrance esophagus. It measures approximately 3 cm diameter and comprised numerous invaginations continuous with surrounding mucosa. The glandular drain into lumen by 25 to 30 orifices. mucosa differs from mucosal lining chiefly thickness. elongate gastric glands that comprise exhibit an increased number parietal chief cells. Ultrastructural examination illustrates parietal, chief, mucous neck cells are similar structure those other mammalian species.
