摘要: This paper presents results of a full scale accelerated test performed on the IFSTTAR pavement fatigue carrousel, to study effect various multiple axle combinations bituminous pavements. The tested correspond permissible maximum loads in France for following systems: tridem (255 kN), tandem with dual wheels (210 single (170 kN) and (130 kN). Recently, however, French road carriers' federation was authorized change vehicle load from 400 kN 440 kN. consequences this increase are also discussed. two thick sections consisting 16-cm granular subbase 26-cm layer. Both pavements were instrumented strain gages, vertical displacement temperature sensors. objective research is compare signals levels obtained different conditions then, re-sults classical design calculations assess relative aggressiveness systems. life pavements, not studied because, owing their thickness, too many cycles would necessary complete test.
