摘要: Abstract This paper examines the instability mechanisms of supported liquid membranes in presence surface tension gradients. Extraction nickel with D2EHPA is a typical negative (σ−) system, while copper extraction LIX 84 shows positive (σ+) system. A σ− system was observed to stimulate interface and promote emulsion formation, resulting more serious loss membrane from interface. σ+ does not produce that effect. The effect gradients on stability manifested under large gradients, but will be damped out when aqueous solution contains high concentration electrolyte. Smaller pores also decreases From experiments different systems, it deduced formation an oil-in-water erupting interfacial dominant cause for membranes. may supply additional stimulation loss. can improved by preventing or reducing
