Building a System to Safeguard Children in Sport: The Eight CHILDREN Pillars

摘要: In October 2014, the International Safeguards for Children in Sport were launched. These developed, implemented, and evaluated based on a pilot process which took place over preceding 2 years. Throughout this piloting phase, range of qualitative techniques employed to capture experiences people within 32 organizations that working toward Safeguards. The participant varied their geographical focus (e.g., local, national, international) as well mission participation, competition, sport development). Based thematic analysis, eight key pillars identified systems safeguard children can be built. are known CHILDREN pillars: Cultural sensitivity, Holistic, Incentives, Leadership, Dynamic, Resources, Engagement, Networks. Illustrative examples provided future directions project will discussed.
