摘要: A clinicopathologic study of multiple extramacular drusen (MED) was performed on 784 eyes 412 consecutive autopsies and 100 50 patients with MED. The clinical histopathologic characteristics MED its correlation reticular degeneration the pigment epithelium (RDPE) macular degenerative abnormalities are presented. Multiple associated in 88% autopsy cases, contrast to 2% cases a control population without or RDPE. findings apparently have similar pathogenetic mechanisms.
