摘要: It is well established that engaging in lifelong physical activity can help delay the onset of many chronic lifestyle related and non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type two diabetes, cancer respiratory diseases. However, growing evidence also documents importance for brain health, with numerous studies indicating regular engagement activities may be protective against cognitive decline dementia late life. Indeed, link between health different at each stage life from childhood, mid-life Building on this emerging body multidisciplinary research, review aims to summarise current linking across lifespan. Specifically, we will focus relationship three distinct stages life: childhood adolescence, mid-life, cognitively healthy adults later living age-related neurodegenerative disorders Parkinson’s disease Alzheimer’s disease.
