摘要: Abstract Single crystal specimens of NiTi10Cu alloys were subjected to temperature cycling conditions under constant tensile and compressive stresses the transformation strains monitored. The [111] orientation exhibited highest experimental (6.64%) in tension while [001] provides compression (5.34%). These strain levels are significantly higher than previously reported values on NiTiCu alloys. theoretical treatment includes both calculation CVP (correspondent variant pair) formation incorporating growth monoclinic phase from most favorably oriented orthorhombic variant, concomitant detwinning martensite. consistently below due two main reasons: slip deformation austenite domains as confirmed with TEM studies, incomplete resulting a mixture phases determined diffraction patterns. compared for single orientations factors: additional associated B19′phase final microstructure (such case), partial completion second step limiting strains.
