摘要: Mood is distinguished from emotion, and mood regulation coping. A model of presented which draws on principles control theory, distinguishes between maximizing pleasure minimizing psychic pain, emphasizes individual differences in several component subprocesses. preliminary taxonomy strategies behaviors for remediating unpleasant affect presented. Important topics future research are discussed, including the assessment successfulness mood-regulation strategies, affective specificity (e.g., what works anger might not work so well sadness), person socializing or helping others may be more effective extraverts than introverts). The relationship to overall life satisfaction global happiness discussed.
