Low-Temperature Sintering of SiC Reticulated Porous Ceramics Using Al2O3-SiO2 as Sintering Aids

摘要: Currently, one of the most popular methods for production reticulated porous ceramics (RPCs) is polymer sponge method, which was invented by Schwartzwalder and Somers. SiC RPCs can be fabricated using A12O3-SiO2 as sintering aids at low temperature 1200-1300 °C in cases with (20-50 % (mass percent)). However, when content powders (relative to total weight solids) higher than 50 percent), suitable 1400 °C. In this work, (SiC RPCs) via method Al2O3-SiO2 1100-1500 order obtain optimized mechanical performance, properties slurry influence have been investigated. It found that, rheological properties, solid all on physical RPCs. achieve optimal RPCs, pH value ,solid content, silica fume were 11, 73.4 1300 17 respectively.
