摘要: Reference is made with increasing frequency in plant taxonomic literature to the occurrence nature of interspecific hybrids: Ceanothus (McMinn, 1942), Sctlvza (Epling, Balsamorhiza (Ownbey and Weber, 1943), Clematis (Erickson, 1945), Wyethia (Weber, 1946), Aquilegia (Munz, cite some more recent. In these examples, so far as reader able judge, F1 hybrids, backcrosses even hybrid swarms may occur. Because weak intrinsic barriers between species. which characterize many other groups, assumption might logically be that gene flow species concerned would obliterate or blur specific morphological differences if long continued. Yet treatment such papers suggests constancy has not been materially affected. The observations follow seem confirm this latter view indicate from does ordinarily occur, so, at a level difficult distinguish expected intraspecific variation, though continued hybridization seemingly provide channel.
