摘要: Experiments with probe-fed circular patches using conventional and defected ground planes flashed some interesting features relating to cross-polarized (XP) electric fields associated radiations before the present authors. Those led a series of new investigations for understanding nature XP deal them structure (DGS) improved performance. In first phase investigation, patch plane have been critically studied as function radial probe location. Remarkably significant effect is experimentally demonstrated. New information about orthogonal resonant its importance in designing an antenna provided. second limitations dot-shaped DGS reducing level are studied. As variants, two geometries such annular ring arcs explored. The arc-DGS appears be highly efficient terms suppressing fields. Suppression by 10-12 dB has Each design experimented both C- X-bands earn confidence on measured data.
