Physical, structural and spectroscopic investigations of Sm3+ doped ZnO mixed alkali borate glass

摘要: Abstract Glass of 20ZnO-15 Li 2 O-15 Na O-49.9 B O 3 doped with 0.1 mol% Sm 3+ (ZLNB) was prepared by the melt quenching technique. Physical properties were studied and analysed. The XRD studies confirm amorphous nature sample. FT-IR spectral investigation discloses BO , 4 groups, H OH bonds. Optical absorption emission spectra recorded characterized. Judd–Ofelt theory applied to f ↔ f transitions evaluate intensity parameters ( Ω λ ). oscillator strengths bonding determined from spectra. trend observed  >  6 2. High value reveals higher rigidity covalency around ion. Low implies ionic ligands site symmetry luminescence data  = 2, 4, 6) used various radiative probabilities like spontaneous A R ), lifetime τ ) branching ratios β stimulated cross section σ e CIE colour coordinates measured, CCT temperature evaluated values ascertain potential laser at optimum mixed alkali effect for glass sample prepared. preparedness material as efficient active is examined.
