摘要: Dielectric and conduction effects in electrorheological (ER) fluids with ohmic conductivity of the host liquids an applied AC electric field are considered. It is found that ratio , dielectric constant frequency f three important parameters which determine ER effect. If a stronger response obtained low than high frequency. opposite occurs. Empirical equations given for attractive force between particles fluid shear yield stress. The calculated current density independent when smaller critical value, but becomes linear function beyond value. predicted two nearly touching polymer spheres mineral oil good agreement measured; also stress some common suspensions accord measurements.
