The association between childhood trauma and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder severity in adulthood

摘要: There is widespread support for the relationship between childhood trauma and psychiatric morbidity in adulthood. However association with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder has not been studied frequently. It was hypothesized that there a positive correlation trauma, distinguished sexual, physical, emotional abuse, physical neglect, severity of OCD Besides, we expected to be at least partly accounted by co-occurring anxiety or depression, cognitions, personality characteristics other comorbidity. The data present study (N = 281) were obtained from Netherlands Association (NOCDA) study, an ongoing multi-centre 6-year longitudinal naturalistic cohort on course OCD. To establish current DSM-IV axis I disorders, SCID-I/P used. Childhood assessed retrospectively using Jeugd Vragenlijst, Dutch version Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ). Pearson indicated sexual abuse found only form having small but significant severity.
